In another recent project outside the Barbican (just around the corner in Little Britain) Thomson Brothers have completed this full refurbishment of a two bedroom flat in Milton House. The job required the removal of several internal walls to make the kitchen open plan onto the living room; an engineer was engaged to confirm that the walls in question were non-structural. Full approval for the proposed work was sought from the building’s management company before commencing.

The photos below show the flat before refurbishment, the kitchen, bathroom and en-suite shower/wc were in their original condition dating from when Milton House was constructed in around 1996. Our clients wanted to bring the interior up to date and improve the storage by removing the original stud work wardrobes and replacing them with new Thomson Brothers bespoke units with more capacity and improved interior cabinet work.
